Fairly new to the game and just finished ARR MSQ. My IRL friend and I are in totally different places in the MSQ (he just resubbed to play with me but his main is pretty far ahead of mine) and we are leveling alt classes together.
Yesterday we were doing duty roulettes and one person in our pug was watching the cutscene my friend said to me on disc "they need to just skip it already" to which I responded "hey it's their first time they can watch it if they want, I watched all mine so far" .
But it got me wondering about the etiquette in the game. I know many mmos it is kind of expected that you skip cutscenes when in a group, but with ffxiv so story heavy I feel that that isn't the case here but maybe that's just my feeling. Anyway no one complained about me not skipping throughout ARR MSQ but going forward Im wondering am I being a jerk for not skipping?
