It took me two years, but I recently completed my Mentor Roulette journey, all 2,000 clears of it. After seeing a blog post that summarized another player's Mentor Roulette experience, as a data-oriented person, I wanted to do the same thing and track my data to see what other insights I could uncover.

The summary presentation contains the following fun facts and many other highlights!:

  • Clear Ratio: 95% | Total Duties Run: 2,102
  • % of 202 possible Mentor Roulette Duties seen (through patch 5.4): 92%
  • Most Frequent Type of Duty: Light Party Dungeon (4 man) at 41.5%
  • Role with shortest average time commitment: DPS at 12 minutes
  • Longest Light Party Dungeon: a Dohn Mheg run at 64 minutes
  • Overall % of Duties with at Least One Player Who Had Not Cleared the Fight: 53%
  • Some horror stories, funny runs, and feel good instances are also included!
  • See my Astrope mount in action!
  • My retrospective thoughts about Mentor Roulette and Aether Duty Finder in general

Want to see more? If you want to get a sense of what Mentor Roulette is like or are starting out on your own journey and want to learn some tips and tricks to keep it fun and efficient, check out the summary of my experience and data insights!

Please let me know in the comments if there's other insights you'd be interested in seeing, and I'll see if I can add it to the summary! Feel free to send me a DM on Reddit if you want to chat more one on one about my experience! I'm happy to share~ If you're on your own Mentor Roulette journey, good luck!!
