I recently started playing FFXIV and am still on my free trial. I'm now considering whether I should subscribe to the game and buy the full package, but there's something I want to ask beforehand.
What do you do after finishing the main story (MSQ)? I know the game offers PvP, but it seems like your gear and job skills don't carry over into the PvP game modes, so farming gear is mainly for story and raid purposes, which feels a bit pointless to me.
I've also checked out Reddit and seen what other players are up to—mainly fishing all day, grinding for better mounts, or focusing on fashion which sounds boring to me. So what do people usually do after reaching this point?
I understand that some content might still be locked for me because I'm on the free trial, but I'd appreciate any opinions before deciding whether to get the full game package.
