I have searched for a thread like this but I could only find one that was several years ago and one that especially asked for sound effects that sounded like they had weight behind them.
When I play FF14, I often am really happy when I heard certain sound effects. And so I want to share some of my fave sound effects and ask for your favourites as well.
I absolutely adore the noises that both Pictomancer and Sage do while in battle. I just don't know, but they have something that gives me immense joy. I am always so happy when I see a Pictomancer or Sage in the group because I know they will soothe my ears with their amazing sound effects.
That one is a little specific but I really really like the sound that Prime Alexander does when it teleports back to the battlefield after Rise starts to play, shortly before it spreads its wing. I just am in love with this sound effect.
Also from the Alexander raids, the Sentai boss (forgots its name, how could I?!) has a flame thrower attack and I like both the attack and the accompanying sound.
All the sounds from the Phantom train are absolutely amazing.
Sounds from female Lalafell, especially when they are tanks. They sound so adorable.
All the footsteps. There is an amazing amount of variation in the footsteps.
All the variants of the Warrior's Fell Cleave. I know why I decided to play Warrior as a tank...
There are probably a lot of sound effects that I forgot, now I would like to hear your opinions.
