Title. One of the biggest moments of awe I had was my first time in Azys Lla. The story had pushed how smart and great the Allagans were a bit in the Crystal Tower and stuff but it's one thing to hear about how smart they are and another to exit the roofed portion of Helix and see a massive spaceship/research-facility in your face, surrounded by islands flying not because of wind crystals, but because of technology. You can fly up to it all and see just how big it is in an actual comparison to your character. Combine it with the fact that they had imprisoned three Primals and a dragon with the strength of Nidhogg, and were also using it as a facility to create new organisms. It's absurd! The music is also just incredible. It really hit me just how completely epic their civilization was.
Another one that's kind of small is realizing who the Scaevan armor is made by. It was all created by Nero tol Scaeva while he was working with the Ironworks in the Omega raid series! It's Scaevan gear. Kind of obvious but also an awesome detail. I couldn't stop grinning thinking how smug Nero must be knowing I, the Warrior of Light bought each set of gear and augmented all the weapons.
Last one is the ShB ending of course. I don't think I need to tell any of you how I felt, I just sat there with my mouth open for a good 3 minutes after it was all over. Similar jaw-dropping at the end of the 5.2 story when I realized Fordola may be having the same dreams as Zenos because she also has a fake echo, and therefore would be "remembering" the final days in dreams too. They did an absolutely incredible job on ShB and it's not even over yet. I can't wait for 5.3!
