For context, the last MMO I seriously put time into was the matrix online lol. My heart broke when they shut down those servers, and I've just been wary of big subscription mmos ever since.
Fast forward to 2021, I'm now 33, and I can't believe my younger self never bought this game. It makes me cry thinking about it.
I'm having a lot of fun, and I love the fact that it just feels like a single player final fantasy game, you know? No FOMO, which I really like. At least as far as I can tell.
And the battle system feels a lot better than I thought it would! I'm playing on PS5 mainly, but also have it for PC; using the controller feels good, you can tell they tried to do a lot to accommodate people with controller preferences. And being able to customize my UI is just *Chefs Kiss*.
I'm still a baby in this world, level 10 :-(
People tell me I probably wont even reach shadowkeep stuff for another 300 hours or so lol. That's depressing, to be honest. But for now...I'm all in!
