Hey there. I've been thinking about this lately and, since I like to do a bit of theory crafting and headcanon thinking, I decided to wonder about WoL being "intimidating", in no small part due to the fact that WoL vs Thordan, and the finale of it, is still one of my favorite things ever.
So, Garleans, pretty much everyone except Legatuses, how do you think they see us? Chances are, to a Garlean citizen who was fed lies, we are presented as a monster. Bloodthirsty boogyman. The scariest thing is, to a Garlean soldier, we very well might be a monster. Like, imagine that you are patroling and suddenly, this unit of a man rushes at you and utterly vaporizes your entire team in seconds. Imagine coming against a man who is famous for taking down the Black Wolf and the bloody (literally) Prince of Garlemald. And that is not to mention the fact that we also kill gods and god-like dragons daily.
It might be too dark for the game, and they might not want to humanize Garleans, but I would love to see a scene of Garlean soldier just having extreme PTSD from just seeing WoL. I mean, I in general would love to see more of badass and intimidating WoL.
Bonus thought for anyone who is up to date with the recent trial storyline: imagine Valens coming face to face with very angry Black Wolf and very angry WoL. I hope he absolutely shits himself and loses it.
