About Us
The Wandering Vanguard or <<Guard>> is a new Free Company and community forming on Aether – Jenova for Shadowbringers, the upcoming Endwalker expansion, and beyond.
Our aim is to build a new FC truly built around community; however, we do not believe community is synonymous with casual or flaky. For our core, this is our main hobby, and we prefer to put our all into it whether it be savage content, crafting, or glamour and housing contests. The difference is that we want to do this content with friends, not just guildmates.
Our Goals
As we are a new FC and filled with many new players to the game, our main focus will be to get our members familiar with FFXIV, build friendships, and build up the Free Company.
As we grow, we look to start setting up many various social and community events spanning all aspects of the game. We also aim to start clearing Shadowbringers savage content and prepping multiple statics going into Endwalkers.
We are looking to build towards grabbing a small FC house and prepare to relocate to a Med/Large in Ishgard at 6.0. During that time, we will work on building up our workshop.
We will also be looking to promote members within to be leaders in the various forms of content FFXIV has to offer. If this is something you would be interested in doing, whether it be savage content or community events, let us know, and we will equip you for the job.
Recruitment
Because most of our core is older, we do ask that you be 18 and up. We are usually made up of mid-20s to mid-30s gamers, so we won't always want to deal with teenage drama.
We are looking for a fresh FC and want to get in on the grown floor of something new. We aren’t looking for those who only show up for raids or events. We aim to form a tight-knit group of people who not only enjoy killing bosses together but can enjoy hanging out during the week in discord whether in-game or not.
We are open to new, returning, or veteran players of any experience level, but do realize we will always cater to the newer players.
