After seeing duel after duel being taken by people who already have their titles or intentionally wiping, putting this out there. If you get selected for a duel, take it. The only way to learn is by doing. People wearing sword of the south to legend titles wiping or going in to meme the fight, you getting any experience in it is worth more than the chance for them to stream the fight or go in to purposefully wipe it.
Nervous? That is fine. Bring a Manawall for safety. Or go in on an Empty holster, you won the draw, it is your fight.
Want to do it blind, without guides or the mrhappy videos getting spammed at you? Go for it. You may not live, but you'll clear it with enough practice over time.
are you taking the slot of someone who could have actually cleared?
Who cares? its a solo fight, they had just as much of a chance to get in via the draw as you did. Take your fight and do what you can. If they are that prepared, they should have cleared it before you showed up.
Duels, just like hunts, do not belong to some other person in your instance, if you get the draw, it belongs to you. Sick of the snowflakes whining in chat and threatening to report other players for taking 'their' spot in a duel.
Does it happen often? Often enough.
