In the mount guide in-game, the text that appears when you hover over the picture of Typhon himself says "Is that your st-stomach I hear tumbling? - Orthrus"
The typo is the name of the being who said that quote. The name should be Ultros, not Orthrus!
(Orthrus is the Japanese name for Ultros, so that somehow got overlooked! Unless it's an intentional reference, in which case ignore this thread!) (Though it would be odd to mention the Japanese name of Ultros there when Ultros himself exists with the 'correct' non-JP name...)
