Toxic Players

Alright, so a friend of mine from my free company posted this little gem of a screencap to our Discord server. As someone who mains as a tank, this...frankly disgusted me. (( You will all notice that, in the image I did NOT bother to hide the name of the individual in question. They should be known for doing this and should be shamed appropriately for the behavior.))

The deplorable amount of toxic/elitist players that I have had the displeasure of encountering of late is sickening. I am also saddened to say that this is, at least in my experience, a mild infraction.

Now, for a little context here, let's explain the situation. This person - Ketsueki Onoko on Zalera server, Crystal DC - had just popped up in a fresh instance of Shiva HM (Not EX) and then posted this wonderful little macro before the fight even began.

Hmm...low-level, MSQ linked content. What are the odds of encountering a new player in this instance? Pretty high, wouldn't you think? Now, as I stated above I was not in this run personally so I don't know if there were any new players in that particular run, but based on what led up to this post (which was nothing as it was macro-posted right at the beginning), I can only assume that this person - again, Ketsueki Onoko on Zalera server - is prone to doing this any time they are tanking an instance.

(( Do you see what I'm trying to do here yet, SE? Is...is it getting through yet? ))

Now, I realize that me posting this on the official forums is very likely to get me into trouble. Ya know what? I don't care. D*cks like this are doing sh*t like this all day, every day and nothing ever seems to get done about it. Well now I'm shouting it from the rooftops. I also realize that my getting in trouble for this post is likely to be the only person who DOES get in trouble for this particular incident.

Yoshida-san...you say that you want to make this game as friendly and welcoming as it can be, going so far as to outright ban the use of things like DPS parsers so as to avoid the potential for players to bully others with the information gathered from them. Well, sir, kindly look at the picture I posted here. Ketsueki Onoko from Zalera didn't need a parser to be a d*ck to people. Just a macro button.
