So many people asking how to farm gil, or seals, or centurios... but what about the most important resource? Headpats?
I've been keeping a running tally for myself in our FC "short messages" section since December, currently sitting at 28, which feels a bit low. Need to up my game.
Things that have worked so far:

Things that have worked so far:
Obviously, be a potato.
Location, location, location... gotta' have a good amount of people, but too many, and you just get lost in the crowd (looking at you, Limsa). I find transitory areas with a lot of foot traffic work a little better, perhaps in between a major aetheryte and market board.
Attire: Gotta' be cute, but almost all popatoes are cute, so finding ways to stick out are the real challenge. I like to coordinate my outfit with some other prop, like a certain mount or minion. My most successful glam mimics a goblin as closely as possible. Then summon a goblin minion, and stand next to it. Even if that doesn't reward a headpat, people do tend to stop and take notice.
