You can re-order the people in your party list. If you're in a party and you go to your party member list (from the social list), at the bottom of the list there are up and down arrows. If you click on a person's name then press the up or down arrows, that person will shift up or down in your party list.
(this is super helpful for someone like me because I always use my F# buttons to target people and cure and now tanks don't have to be at the bottom of the list anymore or whatever.)
