The title really says it all, I've missed my first big Patch Day since 3.2. This morning, I woke up and got ready for work instead of getting ready to craft new gear. I drove to the office instead of driving my cloud bike to pick up the new MSQ. Instead of Scions and Adventure, I'm spending my day with Coworkers and Monotony. I will now be a day behind on the new beast tribe quests because I was unable to do them before reset. The boss encounters here in the office are not what I expected to deal with today and I am not prepared to defeat them. Random NPCs are sending me on useless fetch quests to prepare for meetings. The new dungeon I ran (Conference Call (Hard)) was full of boring mechanics, and I kept getting hit by Slow and Heavy effects. As a Black Mage main, I tried everything I could to get through the day. My Ley Lines didn't speed anything up. Freeze and Blizzard IV did not stop the fire drill I had to participate in. By the end of the work day my temper was starting to Flare, I was full of Despair, and I was in a really Foul mood. Now that mandatory adulting is complete for the day, I will Surecast myself to my chair to avoid any other disruptions.
