Ok, so I have been sitting on this thought for a couple of days now, and it was something that came up for myself and I kinda just brushed the thought away as me thinking too much about it, but the ending scenes in Dawntrail has me thinking and just wanted to share and open it up to extra thoughts. Mixed reviews aside for the actual story, I just like to think about possible futures~

So in the ending few scenes, we are shown with our WoL looking over a map that has yet to be filled in, plus the Alexandrian artifact that we know next to nothing about. We are told that the artifact makes strong desires real, and that even the Alexenandrites had no idea how to use it properly.

The way we look at that map just reminds me of longing. Longing for adventure, longing for reason, maybe even longing for just something new. We all gave a different answer to our reason for adventuring I am sure, but all answers are kinda spoken in the face we make (in my opinion). So my theory/thought is thus; What if we, the WoL, with all of our ambition and want to help, unwillingly create the next disaster? We are given the line of how the artifact would be most trusted with us and the scions, but are we really???

And then there was the ending remarks from Zenos and the answer we gave to him. Not all answers we could have given supports this theory in this regards to be completely fair, but I feel like the point of even asking the question was to make us think for a moment of, "are we really good?". Are we, the WoL, going to create our next villain?

All of this is just headcannon stuff that I feel like could be really interesting but just fun to play around with the ideas~ Did anyone else get this kinda feeling from the ending?
