I’ve been playing ffxiv since a realm reborn and have enjoyed the story and gameplay. I used to enjoy the community as well, but a shift has been happening in recent years. It’s become woke, and loud and has been advocating for changes in the game for the worst. I’ve been patient as I’ve been hearing gameplay changes are coming for the better. But Dawntrail has sucked and I haven’t been motivated to log in. With the events this week, and people showing their true colors. Having an employee like Kate who is advocating for violence on social media and seeing the forum, which have been taken down, I can’t continue to put my money towards this game. The community has gotten toxic, the devs are making decisions on their behalf and you have employees who are rotten to their core. Had there been any public statements, I might reconsider, but the silence speaks volumes.
