Just something I've noticed as I've played this expansion. Of all the expansions since ARR, Norvrandt is the first expansion area that feels as much like "home" to me as the ARR zones do. It's a strong testament to the environmental design and story for this expansion.
What's ironic in all of this, is that Heavensward/Stormblood are both expansions in our home-world, yet I felt much less connected with either of those areas. I just felt like I was passing through, despite "living" in them for 2 years each. Then you have Shadowbringers, where the story is of us being a total outsider from another world, makes me feel more connected and more at-home than either of the previous two expansions.
My hope is that going forward we have excuses to come back to The First, and that it doesn't just get left behind, though I'm pretty sure it's going to be relegated to leveling lower-level jobs just like everything else before it.
