Is that they showed us Solution Nine in the Fanfest and in the trailer.
Imagine having no idea we would end up there. Its a bit absurd from a marketing level to simply not show one of the two main cities in the new expansion, I know. But if we didn’t know about it, it would be absolutely mind-boggling and a huge shock. It would be foreshadowed when we eventually get to the gate / end of the raid where techy things start to show up. It would also have a big hint when Zooral Ja and his minion first discuss the great powers that they can attain inside the city of gold, and when they get to the gate with the stolen tablets to pop it open.
We would have the first course-crash with the reality of Solution Nine when we get to Shaaolani and the train ride fails, with the dome spawning and the high-tech soldiers attacking everyone.
Would make things far far more interesting and less predictable, and a very “shit hit the fan” moment.
It feels kinda as if, i.e. in Endwalker they’d put Ultima Thule or Zenos coming to our aid as Shinryu in the trailer.
