I've been playing FFXIV on and off for about a year now, just finished HW and waiting for a copy of Complete Collection to arrive so I can play SB and ShB!
I've never been someone who plays MMOs or online games in general, I prefer single player games but have loved FF since I first played VII over 20 yeara go. I really love FFXIV for the story and the MSQ, but I'm not really one for raids and dungeons unless they're required for the story.
I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me get through the MSQ dungeons! You've allowed me to enjoy the story of the game without having to get too anxious at the prospect of screwing up/making other people's experience worse.
I play PLD, and without having experience of tanking from any other MMOs at all I've tried my best to learn the main rotations and not screw up pulling too many mobs or getting KO'd by a boss because I didn't understand the mechanics (I try to look up unique boss mechanics of a dungeon before I do it for the first time).
I've just started my first raids, The Crystal Tower series as they are going to be required soon, and so far so good.
So just a general thanks to anyone that I've played with, anyone who had given me tips on specific mechanics and anyone who gave me a commendation, it's genuinely appreciated and I hope I didn't frustrate you too much with my noobness
