Swindler Second Strat: Blue Mage A8s Phase 2 And Other Tips

One of the biggest issues most groups are having in a8s is phase 2 (the adds). This is mainly because people are still trying to end the phase with Swindler and Vortexer. With Blue Mages ridiculous damage burst, tank mitigation, and healing, it is much better to instead do the following:

• Start on blaster (save long primals cooldowns and flute, knives + dot + eruption is enough)
• OT Picks up mirage, drags to middle, DBs both laser types facing south
• MT drags blaster to east, picks up swindler.
• Once Blaster is dead, start on swindler. Low damage until ~60%
• MT picks up vortexer. With proper dps, it'll only get a single damage up.
• Swindler at 60%, all dps burst down swindler ASAP. You should only see the initial height, and the 50% blast.
• DPS switch to brawler, down to 50%
• MT drags Vortexer to SE corner, OT goes west for DBing blasts
• After brawler at 50, vortexer to ~60%. Try not to use dots. Keep it above 50%
• Get Brawler to 10%
• Switch to Vortexter. Burn to kill ASAP, try not to use flute
• Last 10% of Brawler

"How does the Main Tank hold aggro on the Blaster?"

MT puts DoT on the Blaster, OT does not. When frog legs goes out, the dot will bring it back to the MT. OT just single target hit the Mirage.

"How about the double drill?"

DPS goes far corner, we picked North East. If needed, a healer would take inside drill.

"Green Orbs?"

Off Tank takes one, DPS or Heal takes the second. Both diamond back it.

"But the big orb hasn't hit the Brawler yet!"
