Alexander is a time machine, the story progression for alexander states as much, that being said is there any way we can revisit the main scenarios and quests and activities (without the game breaking stuff) of the original FFXIV (1.0). A lot of people did not get a chance to experience that game prior to ARR and i think this would be a good chance to experience the events that shaped ARR
