Reviving this discussion which I am sure pops up every now and again over here.
I was crafting some Dark Rye Flour and suddenly ran out of Fire Crystals.
For a game that is so deep into adding QoL for people this seems to be the one thing crafters will never get removed.
And then those of us who avoid spending Gil on the marketboard are stuck reducing collectibles that spawn every 10minutes or running around in some ARR zone for hours on end to get enough for all the crafts.
As if collecting materials for the food item isn't enough right?
Why keep this system in? does it serve some greater purpose that I just can't see, or is it just a relic from a bygone era?
