So the devs already sidelined Rauban in Stormblood from what was supposed to be HIS expansion in exchange for the dumb bimbo Lyse with the most stupid, oblivious, and simple-minded personality and dialogue in the history of the universe because at that time 3rd wave feminism was trending solely because Hillary Clinton had a political campaign that heavily relied on that notion (and failed).
Stormblood was supposed to be about Rauban regaining confidence in himself after losing an arm and learning to become a leader to eventually become the ruler of Ala Mhigo. Instead we got Lyse, the most hated character in the lore because she was forcefully inserted into the spotlight when we already had Alisae and Yugiri as strong female characters and travel companions. But I guess Yugir wasn't blond and stupid enough to appeal to the devs and even made Forspoken later on, amplifying all the wrong attributes of Lyse everyone hated and what happened? That game failed miserably.
Zenos, the MAIN ANTAGONIST was treated as aplot device rather than a character and was given the dullest most repetitive dialogue and barely any screentime. Why? To force relevance towards Fordola and Yotsuyu who have the exact same character arc cloned from each other IN THE SAME EXPANSION. Why? Because they're females.
In Endwalker, Zenos was suppsoed to be redeemed and become a better main antagonist than in Stormblood where he was given finger. He was supposed to be the one who ultimately harnessed the dynamis Meteion gathered and fight the WoL with it since he clearly forshadows it on the moon after the WoL defeats Zodiark saying he wants to bring DESPAIR.
Instead we got the most boring stereotypical emo anime goth girl forced into the spotlight just because she's a girl and Zenos "strikes a bargain" with Kryle (which is completley idiotic and out of character) instead of just taking the aether by force which mad emore sense. Zenos had his Resonant, BOTH eyes of Nidhogg's power (aka Shinryu) and the aether from the aether from the Mothercrystal and instead, he is jsut allwoed to use basic reaper abilities in his FINAL CONFRONTATION. Lame and anticlimatic.
What was the point of Zenos stealing the WoL body in Garlemald which was the most menacing thing just for the writers to end up not letting him do ANYTHING relevant with it. Just a momentary scare. He ends up hurting nobody and killing nobody. Meaningless wasted potential yet again just because he is a strong white male.
In Dawntrail, Estinien, Thancred, and Urianger are just cameos. Zoral Ja gets the same treatment as Zenos and is given the most simple-minded dullest dialogue with no personality whatsoever because he is a strong male and has to be a written as a simpleton.
Stop listening to SWEET BABY INC consultants. You're ruining the game for EVERYBODY.
