Posting this thread as the previous one has derailed to a point of talk about fascism and nazis. That’s not the point here, and I am not here to talk American politics.
There's one retweet of Kate about the purge, yes this been talked down to bits already, but I want to focus here on her own posts.
When someone says that they should be able to ban people for criticizing creative decisions, it gives out a message that the fans aren't meant be heard and that they are supposed to like it cause of whatever political insert this one character they have made is.
Let's also not forget the sloppy voice lines that had to redo and replace cause it didn't match the cutscene at all. The whole shtick "please look forward to X" isn't going to work if this is the kind of politics we are going to get in the game.
Politics has existed since every expansion but with a difference, they were all consistent to the game's lore and the focus was in the game itself. It's not that I don't want politics in the game, I don't want self insert politics that makes no sense to the plot and gives us another Wuk Lamat.
