Hello all! As title says I'm a sprout new to game (3 weeks on Sunday), playing on Crystal > Balmung, and I would like the advice of some older players.
I've met at least half a dozen veterans over the course of playing, and have one friend in particular who always makes time to run MSQ dungeons with me as I run them, despite being lvl 80 and just killing it. Another great person sends me clever tips and advice via in-game mail, and always attaches cute things like food, so it's like receiving an adorable care package.
As a sprout, what are some ways to show appreciation to these players? There's nothing I could give in-game they don't have multiples of. I know one is trying to get gil to buy their FC a plot, and I've been hoarding all those MSQ allagan pieces to surprise them with a gift of as much gil as a sprout can put together...
But for all the work they've done gearing me up, running me through dungeons as I reach them, and even sending gifts and advice via mail, it feels insufficient!
Game veterans, what are some nice or cute ways a sprout could show their gratitude which doesn't clog your inventory? Other sprouts, would you share stories of times more experienced players have helped you out?
To all you veteran players who take time out of your own gameplay to help us out:
Thank you so much. To someone just starting out, so many of the mechanics aren't obvious at first brush, and for my part I can also say I'm just not the brightest crayon in the box. You save us so much time and frustration; but more than that you provide a reliable backbone of support and sense of community that's very kind. It's been my best MMO experience by far, and I can only hope to one day pay forward all of your effort and generosity.
