Okay, so, come with me on this journey.
Earlier this week I speculated a bit on where the nu mou might be at on the Source, which spawned a discussion in the comments about the overall presence of the Fae on the Source. And then I was reminded of Scathach at the end of the Shadows of Mhach raids back in Heavensward, and (since I got into the game relatively recently and only did the Mhach raids in the last few weeks) recalled thinking "wow, Scathach really gives me a lot of dark faerie vibes, with all the stained glass and murderous playfulness."
So, here's what I'm thinking:
I don't know if this ultimately means anything, aside from being able to help reconstruct more of what might be on the Thirteenth if that ever becomes relevant (which, in light of the Crystal Tower series becoming part of the MSQ in 5.3, means that Shadows of Mhach might be similarly tied in). But since it occurred to me, I thought sharing it with you all might generate some interesting discussion.

- The Fae, as a construct, existed prior to the shattering of the original Hydaelyn.
- Titania and Scathach, while not the same being or fragments of the same being, are nonetheless the rulers of the Fae on the First and the Thirteenth, respectively.
- Just as the Flood of Light and the invasion of the sin eaters resulted in Titania becoming a Lightwarden, so did the Flood of Darkness on the Thirteenth result in Scathach becoming the Queen of Shadows.
- With all the various calamities the Source has gone through, it's possible that the Fae on the Source have been wiped out, or that the sylphs are simply the last of them, or that we simply haven't encountered them yet.
