Now, yes, before anyone mentions is, the Crystal Exarch and Lyna are also both available trusts who fill out the roster as needed, but since you lose access to them after a certain point, I'm leaving them out for the moment.
So when you look SPECIFICALLY at the Scions as a team, it just really feels notable that there's a DPS slot that's open that hasn't been filled. And yeah, I'll admit I'm tempted to find a way for it to be Gaia as a forthcoming class rep, but that presumes a lot of things that won't necessarily fall into place. And it also presumes that they plan on adding characters to the Trust system in ShB, which... since they haven't really touched that system at all since 5.0 I wonder if they plan to do anything with it at all.
Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of people I'd love to see as Trusts but I recognize that it's a non-trivial amount of work and it's likely more complicated than I'm imagining it to be. But as a system that's been in XIV to varying degrees over the years, and was a complete gamechanger for XI when it was introduced, I'd really love to see it iterated upon here.
At the end of the day, I'm probably overthinking things (look at my post history here -- I do that a lot) but it's interesting that if you have a WoL that's a DPS class, all you're missing is a Tank (and again, technically you've got the Crystal Exarch for that), and if you're a WoL that's a Tank class then you've got either of your two temporary Trusts who can fill the fourth DPS slot, but if you're a WoL who's a Healer, well, now you've got three healers in an 8-player comp and that ain't gonna fly in Duty Finder.
