Dawntrail brings up a lot of lore on the world's afterlife system and how souls and memories are different which got me thinking about what happens to rejoined souls, specifically Ardbert.
Merging with his soul didn't seem to affect our personality or memories, just made us more aetherically dense. Do you think his memories went back the the life stream on the First? Or is he dead dead? No more reincarnations.
What about souls from shards that got rejoined, if there's no life stream to go back to is it just oblivion for all those souls while people on the source get to keep reincarnating?
