[Spoiler: DT MSQ] This one cutscene is in the wrong place, and ruins the pacing.

So, I've seen lots of discussion over the last few weeks about the pacing, characters, etc. None of which I really cared much about, I enjoyed Dawntrail for what it was, a new story, that wasn't necessarily about us, and is just the beginning of our next great big adventure. I knew that coming in, and I know that now, so I just enjoyed Dawntrail for what it was.

HOWEVER, I take issue with one cutscene in particular, one that I think ruined the pacing for me, and spoilt an entire zone. the cutscene I'm talking about is the one at the Electrope Gate with Zarool Ja, and his shaman/advisor (I forget his name).

In my opinion, this scene either shouldn't have been in the game, should have been moved, or should have been an 'Echo' cutscene. The reason I say this, is because with it positioned right before we cross the bridge to go and explore Shaaloani, it makes the entire zone feel like a filler episode.

The game literally shows that something major is about to happen, but then suddenly goes, "Alright, time to go play cowboys for a bit". It draws attention away from what is happening in Shaaloani, and even that sense of new adventure, because you're more interested in knowing what just happened with Zarool Ja, and finding out what is beyond the gate. Then the filler episode ends with the dome appearing, and off we go to get back to the story again.

Personally, I think the cutscene should have been an Echo, shown to us AFTER Zarool Ja is revealed as the BBEG attacking the city. Instead, the attack has no surprise to it, the encounter between Father and Son loses some weight to it, and the entire zone of Shaaloani becomes a filler episode. Make it an Echo cutscene after you discover Zarool Ja in the throne room, and Shaaloani becomes an adventure for our WoL to explore, the attack on the city has some mystery to it (Even tho most would guess the BBEG), and the reveal of Zarool Ja means more.
