So, I've seen plenty mention that the WoL's conclave title (Azem) being alluded to the sun given the constellation on the crystal as well as Azeyma and Azim being derived from it. There is another meaning that I've yet to see others mention and I'd just like to share my findings.
Most of the Ascian titles have some connection to names or titles in Hebrew. Emet-Selch translates into "Angel of Truth". Fandaniel is likely a reference to the prophet Daniel (doubly so since the zodiac sign for Fandaniel as a Scion of Light in FFT is Leo the Lion).
Azem is referenced in the book of Joshua, and similarly referenced as Ezem in the book of Chronicles. (Src: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ezem) When looking up the meaning of Ezem, it refers to might or strength, specifically inner strength or bones. (src: https://www.abarim-publications.com/Meaning/Ezem.html#.XzNOuihKhFE )
By this definition, the WoL would not only be the sun to guide mankind, but its inner strength (or backbone). I think both are fitting and just wanted to share my findings!
