People of Eorzea. Warriors of Light. Friends.
Today, we gather beneath clear skies and in the warmth of peace—twelve years since our realm was reborn from the ashes of fire and fury. Twelve years since Bahamut’s rage tore through our homes, and Louisoix’s final light brought forth a new dawn.
We stand here not only to celebrate our survival, but to honor the sacrifices that made it so. For while the tales of Louisoix and the Warriors of Light are sung across the realm, there were others—brave souls whose names do not ring so loudly in the halls of history.
Godfrey the Geomancer, who shaped the very land to shelter the weak.
Jenisa the Puppeteer, whose creations of wood and aether danced in darkness to uncover the enemy’s designs.
Alric the Beastmaster, who rode with fang and feather against the might of Garlemald’s steel.
And Sterrgeim the Corsair, whose ship struck like lightning from the Indigo Deep, harrying Garlean supply lines before vanishing into mist and legend.
Long before the Calamity, they fought in silence against Nael van Darnus and his empire’s reach. They delayed the fall of Dalamud when all hope seemed lost. And though their lives were given to the fires of that final battle, their sacrifices bought us time enough for salvation to come.
Today, as we mark the twelfth year of our realm reborn, let us remember them. Speak their names. Tell their stories. For a realm without memory is a realm destined to repeat its tragedies.
Let this day of song and celebration carry both joy and gratitude—for the dawn we cherish was earned by many, known and unknown alike. May their courage echo in our hearts, now and always.
To the realm reborn—and to those who gave all to see it rise again.
