Picture this. I'm a SCH queing into High Level roulette. I go in and it's a level 70 dungeon Ala Mhigo and I have a WAR as the tank. Ok, I think, this'll probably be easy.
First pull, the WAR runs in, pulls two mobs, and then immediately gets put down to 20% health. I'm suddenly like, "whoa shit what?!" and I start to go into panic mode. Surely, I think, they'll pop Raw Intuition (level 56 skill) to get them back up to full health, or Holmgang, while I try to get my Excog and other skills to cushion them. Nope, they literally just die.
But then I'm like, alright maybe it was a fluke. I was caught off guard and didn't heal fast enough, maybe the WAR was also sleeping and forgot. But no, the dungeon continues, and the WAR keeps pulling all mobs without using any mits. I'm trying to mash all my heals to keep this WAR alive and barely succeeding.
Now, normally someone in this situation would just type "use mits" or something, but I'm on a JP server (Elemental) and I don't know if this person can speak English or not, and I'm also on PS4 so pulling up the chat is too slow. So I just power through.
Last boss comes, and the WAR stops for a bit before it. Then I see in the chat from the WAR: "Heal me"
I'm just flabbergasted. I'm sure most people here know why. Especially as I'm a SCH and not a WHM or AST with big instant heals.
And of course the WAR just stands in all the boss AOEs and gets hit by everything. And only the only mit I ever see him use, on the boss, is Rampart and Thrill of Battle.
I'm sorry for the rant, but holy shit this was infuriating. And the sad thing is that this isn't the only WAR I've seen in the past month or so that is like this. People may say that WAR is unkillable, but that's if the player actually bothers to use any of the skills that make them so.
