It's almost time for the Valentione's Day event and there was something that happened to me last year during the event that left a really great impression about this community on me.
I was in a really horrible place last year, got rejected from 50+ job apps and very depressed. After a phone call with HR who told me I wasn't good enough, I wanted something to keep my mind off of jobs and decided to try ffxiv. I had just started on a whim a few days ago and had no idea how things worked (never played MMO's before). I saw there was the valentione's day event and wanted to try it. Got matched with a REALLY nice person. I was fucking up every turn and didn't know what to do, but this guy was very patient and humorous. Overall made the mood very funny and happy. It honestly made my day and helped me make it through everything that was going on irl.
Fast forward to today, I have a great job, doing great mentally, and I'm finally in a financially stable place to sub to this game. Honestly, the community has not let me down since. I just really wanted to give a big thank you to you all for making it this way
tldr: Was in a bad place last year around the valentione's day event, met a really funny dude that hard carried my 2 brain cells through the event quest. Made me really appreciate this community. Big thanks to ya'll
