I’m a level 51 Black Mage. I’m also a Hyur Highlander. A completely emotionless, stone-faced, muscular Hyur Highlander that I’m not particularly satisfied with. And seeing how I just got my Fantasia from defeating the Ultima Weapon, I’ve since been debating what I’m going to do when I use it. I’ve been leaning towards switching to a Lalafell (Dunesfolk. I find Plainsfolk quite creepy, tbh), mainly because they seem to show way more emotion in the story then most classes, but also because all of the Thaumaturges in the Thaumaturge quest line are Lalafells. but after reading some of the horror stories of people being treated like shit because they were playing as a Lalafell, I’m not so sure. Is the hate that I keep hearing of actually serious? Because I don’t want to ruin my experience in this game just because I changed my character...
