So I assume Im nearing the end of Stormblood storyline, so far it has been great, I enjoy the two sides of the conflict and the development of the characters very much, more of Yugiri is ALWAYS a good thing. That being said... why in the hells is Lyse supposed to become the leader of the Ala Mighan resistance? Is that gonna go into the future as well?

No offence to Lyse, I get that she isnt the Yda we knew, but she is still quite ditzy and reckless and over emotional etc., she has no leadership qualities bar the "heart", I know she did scouting work with Papalymo and even if we discount the fact that he was most likely the brains behind their operations, she isnt versed in leading men.

I get that Conrad took a liking to her, being a Scion also lends her some weight but she, as a person, has not only no claim on such a role, seeing as there are people with more experience that have been with the resistance and in leadership roles longer, such as M'naago who was completely screwed, but she also doesnt have the qualities you would expect of a leader mid war. She can fight, she is courageous, but she isnt a tactical or analytical mind.

Hien was the legitimate leader of Doma, that is why he was the leader of the uprising, he was the Lord of Doma, Lyse is just another person. I knew it was heading there but I suppose I expected more growing into her role, she grew more level headed over the course of the story to give her some credit but then immidiately goes to say SHE will be the one to go and check on the freaking canon. Right after she became a leader! Saying she is the best qualified, when at her side is a scout with a gryffon who already infiltrated a castrum before during this campaing, some leadership skills there.

And what about the resistance leadership? We were told of many other cells but never see another commander, Conrad just said you lead and I guess thats that, nobody can even object, there is no vote or anything. Isnt there supposed to be hierarchy?

Seriously when the music swelled there and she had her emotional explanation as to why she is no ready to be a leader and therefore should go to check the canon that can insta kill her I cringed super hard. What has her personal growth got to do with her eligibility for this role? She didnt learn to lead! She learned what she wanted as Lyse and to follow it, that doesnt make her a leader :D

Controversial opinion maybe, some may think she grew into and deserves her role but I just dont see it.
