It's been awesome!

I'm a white mage main, so healing is always my go-to. I wanted to try DPS, like dancer, but the idea of getting them to level 80 with those queue times felt like too much.

But I wanted a second class.

So I tried paladin.

I had the classic tanking anxiety. I don't know what's about it, but it feels like everything sort of rests on the tank, so there's a lot of pressure to perform.

But you peeps gave great advice, I watched some videos on my class--I also watched those short guide videos of the dungeon I'm queuing for so I could be aware of the mechanics. That helped a lot.

During my very first run, there was a party of 3, and they ended up inviting me to their FC--a very engaging and welcoming one. So that was a win.

Now, tank just feels like a DPS with extra utility, which I love. Why I liked healer.

All-in-all, if you're a DPS (or a healer), and you've been eying the tank role, but was like me and thought you'd never even try to take up that sword, give it a few tries. You may actually love it.

And if you're on Goblin and want a healer to help you with those first few dungeons as a tank, hit me up :D

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention my favorite part of tanking! I like being able to set the mood for the party. I think other players sort of look at the tank as the leader. So jumping in with a welcome and a joke usually gets everyone happy and energetic. I like being able to do that (probably that support class coming out of me).
