Hi all, I joined a E5S semi-casual static a 1 month and half ago (1 week after I just hit 80). I though we were making decent progress at first, but it became apparent after a while that a lot of people weren't taking it seriously at all. Some people aren't even trying to listen to our raid lead's callouts and making the same mistakes because they were more concerned about chatting while a mechanic is going on. We have also had several raid sessions (like once every other week) cancelled because "my fc is all online" or "I'm too tired" or "I need to work". Even our first E5S clear was because we got a competent sub and some random in PF as 6/8. This caused some drama where some people wanted to start e6s asap and others want to help the 2 absentees clear. Looking back at their past raids, they never got past E2S and only made it consistently got blue prog in E5S (after a month) after I joined.
I was obviously frustrated so I started practicing in pugs if my static raid gets cancelled (without interfering with loot ofc). I managed to get E6S down in a weekend, which made me start doing pugs even more seeing how it's faster than trying to clear with my static, and recently just cleared E7S last week while my static is still on the 2nd session of progging E6S. This meant that most of the time I just feel like running my head against a wall being the only person that survives a mechanic over and over when my static is doing E6S.
I could continue what I'm doing and try to prog E8S with pug behind my static, or I can leave the static and find another one that is already on E8S.
TL;DR: I am frustrated with my static, I start clearing in PF and get really ahead. Now when I play with my static I just feel like wasting my time. I want to start E8S but they're on E6S. Should I leave my static? If so, how do I do so without burning bridges?
