A few months ago I moved servers/data centers to play with a couple local friends. I have a CWLS for asking them and a few others for help, but am currently not in a FC. In the past I've joined large forum based FC's and while there are perks to being a part of a large FC, by and large they give me anxiety and I've enjoyed the game much more playing solo.
However now I'm discovering a new type of anxiety: The blind FC invite/FC invite tell. Walking around without a FC tag makes it open season for random FC invites or messages from strangers asking you to join their "totally awesome and fun" FC. Usually a simple "No Thanks" is enough, but I have now run into an issue where I've had to tell the same person several times I'm not interested. Which today led to this exchange (new players: >> in the beginning of a message indicates a message I've sent. >> after the blanked out name indicate a message they sent):

For a lot of people like me, the idea of joining a FC full of strangers is extremely off-putting, and the idea of being in a FC where the leader will just invite any stranger without any sort of vetting is not a FC we want to be in. There are many ways to recruit for your FC, in game and out. You don't need to randomly invite a stranger just because they don't have a FC tag next to their name. Please stop.
