With all the money lotters in Bastok now, I think it'd be best if we started to sell/split gil on Wootz ores for future runs. There are several advantages to doing this:
1. The most obvious: It evenly and fairly distributes the gil from those ores to all of the money-lotting members that are working hard to earn those drops.
2. It allows the sacs to reduce the amount of gil for players that are only present for a small amount of a run. (Preventing someone coming on for 20 minutes, winning an ore, then bouncing.)
3. It prevents members from winning ores with the intention of lotting AF if it does drop. This is actually very common in Bastok... I admit I'm guilty of it, and I believe at least three money lotters lotted on AF last run. Since we don't require people to return ores if they switch their comment midrun, it's easily abused.
4. We already use such a system for currency, and ores are much fewer and easier to sell than currency.
I mentioned it to Heie and he seemed to support the idea, at least in terms of a possibility. Thoughts?
