Limited Jobs?
so this has been bothering me ever since we were hinted about it before SHB -- and then ever more ever since BLUE MAGE was tainted with this "fun-killer mark", and honestly this has got me scared for the future of limited jobs.
Limited job -- essentially a title SE gave blue mage and hopefully NOT any future jobs that keeps them from accessing any recent content, basically cutting nearly half the game out of its reach.
but before I begin to rant i wanna make this short.
Limited Jobs should be changed in the way they are "limited". Simply put , here are the changes Im suggesting.
-Level cap -- get rid of it; there is literally zero reason for a level cap existing on a class that isnt even allowed to que up for dngs to begin with, and even that is stupid. Limited jobs just as any should have the ability to so much as go into current level locations and battle some mobs without getting ONE SHOTTED because they are 20+ Level UNDER everyone else for NO sensible reason.
-DNG restriction -- get rid of it; If you must force BLU to cue up into DNGS as a DPS if you must, there is no reason for a dng restriction when an "official" class can literally just TILT themselves and cause all the same problems as a BLU would. If your worried BLU would be too OP, then just change their potentiates like you would any other class. If your worried that BLU players would simply not do their jobs just because, then you guys have already made an answer to that problem. (the KICK VOTE)
-Quest and story line restriction -- get rid of it: same point to be made as the level cap -- there is no reason to cap their ability to go through the story.
-Raids and Ex raids or trials -- Now , in defense of SE, this one of the areas i can say [Blue mage does not yet belong here]. The raids (especially EX) seem to be carefully planned and tuned to where each of the chosen jobs and rolls need to be solid and effective in their duties -- everything needs to go in near-perfect harmony or the entire party could wipe -- and as of now BLU is too much of everything and too much of everywhere, with no defined duty to be a stable RAID class. Basically, every other class was pretty much MADE for end game raids, but BLU isnt, and seemingly any future classes that would fall into a sketchy spectrum.
-minigames and odd-jobs -- im not complaining...but it just makes the situation worse when you try to replace the GAME with a MINI-GAME instead of just working on trying to give players the GAME.
the way i see it would be that SE could apply these restrictions to any future [limited jobs], I guarantee you guys with 99% certainty, you would piss off a LOT less people.
