as it says in the thread name, the Runner's Plating items need to be reworked.
these items are required for the augmentation of the Law's Order gear recently released in 5.45. to obtain these items you are required to tackle Delubrum Reginae (Savage), a massive dungeon that requires 48 other players to complete. while i have some complains about the Savage dungeon itself, this isn't the thread for that. this is about the items you can find in chests within the dungeon, Runner's Plating.
there are 5 types of Runner's Plating, one for each armor slot. each of them has a chance to drop after a boss is defeated and the chest is looted. if it ended there i would have no arguments. get lucky, get augment piece, augment your augmented Bozja and Law's Order gear together, bam boom done. but it doesn't, because for each piece you want to augment you're required to obtain 10 Runner's Plating of that type to exchange for the proper augment piece. 10. from a not very gracious rng drop table. in very challenging content that requires pulling together a LOT of players. this isn't okay, this is padding, blatant and offensive padding.
this doesnt encourage people to run it more, it just desensitizes people from even bothering. it took me over 100 runs to get the rare minion from Copied Factory. why would i, personally, put myself to this grind knowing i havent a chance in hell to obtain the item, and that even if i do ill need to get that specific piece it 9 more times before it matters. they're not even tradable, so people won't even want to continue running it after the content is dead and buried for the sake of profit.
in short, Runner's Plating either needs to have a reworking. make the drop rates for it increase to 100% and/or lower the amount of plating required to obtain an augment piece, or otherwise make the Runner's Plating or Augment pieces tradable. otherwise this is just going to continue to frustrate players who are already smashing their heads against a rocky wall.
i know we're not getting another update until April, but this isn't the kind of padding we need to see. this is just punishment for people who dared to try some of the most challenging content in the game and had the audacity to think that they might get rewarded for their efforts.
