RPGmaker & ... anyone want to help with "FF IV-2"?

I'm trying to learn "RPG Maker XP" and see a potential to create a viable sequel to FF IV. Would anyone be willing to assist with sprites, etc?

I have nearly zero experience with this kind of stuff (outside fooling around with Qbasic Draw functions in DOS back on my 486), but it sounds like fun. What kind of sprite resolution are you going for, lol? I might be able to come up with some tile patterns if you give me an idea what I'm working with.

P.S. If the program is shareware, send me a link so I can check it out.

Is this RPG Maker by ASCII corp? I used to use RM2K and RM2k3 a lot, and I was into a really big community and such. Though I'm really rusty now and forgot a bit.

Here it is :

It's actually a Japanese program ported to U.S. What I hope to do is more or less re-create the world of FF IV but for the overhead maps have the main character appear the same size as they do in battle (basically, just like VI).

I believe it's 640 x 480, but I have to check.

Yeah this is a newer version of what I used to use. If you need some help I can help, I guess.

I haven't used this at all, but it definitely sounds interesting. If I can get a hold of the program and get the jist of it how it works, I'd definitely be interested. But I don't have any experience with it right now :(

Its really simple, if its anything like 2K you basically create events and choose what they do from a few pages of options. There's also simple fork options and switches that are really useful, too.

Downloaded and got XP running - this is pretty cool, and is pretty much the exact same as RM2K, except the translations aren't done by a Russian software pirate. :p I also noticed a few features that are new, and I like it, seems like I could get back into this.

I'll start work on it soon... I guess I'll need massive help with sprite gathering from FF IV, pretty much every corner of the world.

Some things worry me about recreating... like when you board the airship and such.
