Greetings everyone. I'm wondering if others have noticed what I have, which is that since the last patch, no minions have dropped from retainer short ventures. At first I thought I was mistaken, so I drew out a chart for 4 retainers on 2 characters, and I kept track of every single short venture return over the past two weeks. I'm approaching roughly 60 ventures each (so 480 short ventures total), and not a single minion has dropped. Prior to the most recent patch, I received Bacon Bits via retainer venture 4x.
I've started putting the data into excel to see the stats, but I have not yet finished. What I've seen so far, from two of the eight retainers, is that 57-58% of the venture returns have been gear drops (plus an additional 11-20% weapon drops). The other drops are crafting mats, crystals, furnishings, and coffers. None of the coffers have yielded any pure white or jet black dye. That's another thing I'm beginning to wonder about, too.
So it raises the question: Previously, certain minions, like Bacon Bits, only came from venture. Where did they move to? Or, alternatively, did SE change the drop rate and make it extremely rare?
As a point of reference, my retainers are almost all at 80, and in high enough gear that no notice comes up saying that the rewards would be better if my retainer had higher gear. They're not wearing exarchic, but they're wearing like i490 level stuff. Edit: I should also note that I have an assortment of retainer types: miner, botanist, fisher, dancer, ninja, tank.
