We all know about the 50m gil dump mounts in their golden resplendence, but they don't actually look that good beyond flexing that you had 50 million gil to burn on a pile of gold.
Lalachievements data shows that around 10300 (~2% of tracked players) people have the Magitek Avenger G1/Chrysomallos, around 17,500 (~3.3% of tracked players) people have the Gilded Mikoshi, and 18,500 (~3.5% of tracked players) people have the Resplendent Vessel of Ronka.
All 4 of these are less common than the prestigious Apocryphal Bahamut, the current Savage Tier's Monowheel S1, all 3 Criterion Mounts, the Company Warsteeds, Eureka Orthos' Aeturna and Heaven On High's Juedi, the Morbol, Cerberus and the Al-iklil, the Magicked Card, and all of the Faux Hollows mounts.
In contrast to the gold-plated mounts, the Air-wheeler A9 has over 110,000 owners (~21% of tracked players), both due to its increased affordability and it actually looking like something someone would want to ride on. That number is likely even higher because untracked people are likely buying it as a cool mount.
