Respecting the content is highly important, I feel. I've noticed that even when a character within this great community is crossing a narrow bridge or a fallen pillar they run across it as if it were nothing.
I propose that to increase immersion such situations brought about a new active time event in the form of enforced walking. Perhaps if your character fails to walk in the correct balanced manner they risk falling off and dying? I think it'd be a great way to make duties more engaging and dangerous.
