Just a reminder that the Hatching-tide event will be ending about 23 hours from now, at 8am PST on Monday morning.
If you have not done so already, the second half of the event was unlocked last week, which will task you with participating in a second FATE within Old Gridania. Completing the quest will get you the event achievement, and also add a Dapper Rabbit Suit to the event vendor for 10 tokens.
---
If you haven't done the event at all yet and want to know what it entails, it's mostly running around talking to NPCs within New and Old Gridania (around maybe 20 minutes of total dialogue if you don't skip any of it), and two FATEs. Both FATEs reward 10 tokens each for gold ranking.
The first FATE is in the southern end of Central Shroud (just outside of the entrance to the housing area, so simply going into the Lavender Beds from Gridania and exiting at the Ferry Skipper is faster than running down) where you must first talk to an NPC to participate. It puts you in a special rabbit suit, changing your hotbar. Target the chickens and use the second special ability to slow them, then run up to them and catch them with the first special ability.
The second FATE in Old Gridania is a parade through the town where you give children gifts. Just run up to each one you see and click on them. (Also, you can stick around for a moment after the FATE ends and watch the two lingering NPCs have some amusing banter.)
Event vendor items:
Rabbit Head (dyeable, can go in the Armoire) - 5 tokens, but also given as a quest reward
Rabbit Suit (dyeable, can go in the Armoire) - 5 tokens, but also given as a quest reward
Dapper Rabbit Head (dyeable, can go in the Armoire) - 10 tokens, added upon completing entire event
Stuffed Rabbit (dyeable indoor housing furnishing) - 5 tokens
Hatching-tide Advertisement (indoor housing wall decor) - 5 tokens
10 Magicked Prism (Hatching-tide) fireworks - 1 token
So getting gold in both of the FATEs will get you 20 tokens, which is enough for the Dapper Rabbit Suit and one of each of the housing items, plus you already get the Rabbit Suit and Head for free from finishing the first quest.
