I just want to share some of my impressions and emotions from the ARR to the "end".
Playtime: ~5months (more or less)

Introduction
When i started to play i wasn't sure what should i expect. I played WoW, Tera, Perfect World before but this game just keep me around by the fine details such as physics, graphics, environment and humor. The progress of ARR was lazy and slow until lv12, then 30 (THEY REALLY NEED TO REWORK THIS EARLY GAME!!). I started to play as Thaumaturge and found my place as Red Mage.
A Realm Reborn
When i started i was feeling like an explorer or an adventurer in a stranger world with stranger and innocent people looking for someone help. When you meet the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, you start to understand it better and feel like you are not so stranger anymore, you have a place somewhere with a bunch of people that take care of you. You even make some friends that will break your heart later (Noraxia <3) you just feel like "How they had such courage?". For a mysterious reason you are the "warrior of light" and for most part of a dangerous situation you have some kind of surprise help. A realm reborn, so do i. https://youtu.be/bWdeMqELN-U
When the ARR ends (lv 50) i was feeling like lonely, depressed and lost until Heavensward and Ishgard campaign.
Heavensward
In heavensward i feel like a wanderer. Before it i was just a newborn in a new world discovering new things. Now you had that things and now they feel lost. You start to ask yourself: should i be happy because i had it or it would be better if i never had?. Anyway, Haurchefant and Estinen are amazing characters and i started to respect Alphinaud a little more. We also have the greatest and epic battle of all game in my opinion: https://youtu.be/3VncgvkvQEo
Stormblood
In Stormblood i had a "comeback" feeling when we take Ala Mhigo back (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw7Umqm1cis). I started to think "finally, but when we will defeat the emperor?" you know, i was expecting something more linear, clear..cliche. Obviously i was wrong. Not to mention the amazing discovery of undersea, Shirogane, Eureka...etc
Shadowbringers
Remember when i told you that you feel like a stranger or adventurer before? it happens again in a whole different scale and with greatest risk of failure and despair. I don't really want to speak about the philosophical and ethical expect of this expansion because i don't want to make your lose a lot of you time, but i think that Shadowbringers is the greatest point of this matter. You have so much references here, such as Rapture (Bioshock), Paradise Lost (Milton), a little of Lothlorien (Tolkien) in the forest construction and for some reason Amaurot made me think about Cthulhu (Lovecraft). Feo Ul made me recover that warm from the sylphs. Here i feel like a veteran adventurer in an older, dangerous and ancient world with an unknown mystery. Amaurot is just transcendental in every sense and the conclusion of Hades makes me feel like...we are all victims after all...and just a glimpse of a memory in the mind of universe. https://youtu.be/LOQ5gb0PWHE
When you end Shadowbringers and listen to 'ANSWERS' again, the music is 100% heavier.
Thank you Naoki Yoshida and the amazing people behind this game.
