Dear Technical Support,
Today I experienced the steam client of FFXIV crashing; my game started to lag massively, which prompted me to exit the game - this resulted in my PC crashing. The first crash happened four days ago where I did not experience lag, but when exiting the game and restarting my PC, I found myself having to download the 29.5GB of files after filling my login details and pressing play on the FFXIV launcher. For some reason, after experience the crash today, I had to re-download these same 29.5GB of files (https://imgur.com/04XdX02) in order to play.
I'm not sure what could have triggered the crash as I am using Windows 10 and only have FFXIV client open along with discord when playing, so I wanted to enquire if there is a way to prevent losing and re-downloading these 29.5GB of files every time my game crashes.
Any help is appreciated and if you require more information about anything, please let me know.
Many thanks, and best regards
Twooty
P.S. I did not see and error reports (e.g. error 90002, error 2002, etc.), the game just crashed.
