Hosted a panel at Aethercon this year about why win traders don't matter in the grand scheme of things -- if you wanna listen to that you can here:
TLDW: Since Square Enix doesn't want to, we need to make a decent tournament scene complete with:
- Leaderboards (ala ranked)
- Tournaments
- One big Superbowl-style event
Casual PvP is in a good state, and if you really want to sink your teeth into the competitive side I think October is the month to get prepared; even if the 7.1 patch doesn't change much we're still going balls to the walls with PvP events. Join discords, ask where the team CC practice/custom matches are at, get a 5 man team going.
Come play more competitive PvP, it's worth it yall.
