Hopefully this is the right place to put this. There are a couple questions I have. Background: I played the game for a few months back during 1.0, but my father set up my account because I wasn't 18 yet. I had some cool items on that character, and I think it would be cool to play on a character that was made back then. Would it be possible to change the name associated with my account from his name to mine? The rules regarding name change say it can't be changed to someone else's name, but I was wondering if there is any precedent since I was a minor at the time and the account has always been my account, just under my father's name.
Second. I thought this account was lost to the void forever when I came back to play years later. At that point, I started a new account thinking I should cut my losses... but then i had a sudden epiphany after a while and remembered the account info. I had started again with a new account and leveled up to around 30 with a few jobs. Is there any way to get anything from the new account and apply it to the old like a digital upgrade I bought or the character I made? I'm willing to cut my losses on those for the sake of playing the old account--provided I can change the name on it to my name--but it would be nice if anything could transfer over.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows if anything can be done. I'd like to know if I have a case for support before I contact them. This whole situation is a mess, and it's been bothering me that my old account has been sitting there with cool stuff on it... I was ready to move on when I thought it was lost to the void, but now that it is possibly within reach it has been bothering me. You know how people are.
